英文摘要 | The sensitivity of platelets of diabetes to shear induced platelet aggregation (SIPA), indexed by particle size distribution of platelets, was investigated by shearing the platelet rich plasma (PRP) in a cone/platelet vis-cometer at different shear rates. We also evaluated the inhibitory effects of RGDS on the SIPA for normal subjects and diabetic patients. The results showed that platelets of diabetic group (n=10) formed more number of large aggregates than those of normal group (n=7) at the shear rate of 3600 sec□ (e.g., p<0.05, for cumulative number percentage of platelet sizes less than 5.0 μm). At the shear rate of 6000 sec□, the numbers of large sizes of platelet aggregates for both groups were more than the samples without being sheared (P<0.01) but there was no difference in size distribution of platelets between two groups. The inhibitory effects of RGDS to SIPA by pre-treatment PRP with 200 μM of RGDS for both groups were also observed at both shear rates of 3600 sec□ and 6000 sec□. Through the study, we tentatively concluded that the platelets of diabetes were more sensitive to SIPA. |
