中文摘要 | 企業在今日競爭的環境中面臨許多不同以往的挑戰,科技的進步促使企業競爭趨於多元化,導致企業不能夠沿用過去的優勢來創造利潤。例如,在攝影界近幾年來發生一項重大的革命─數位相機 (Digital camera) 的誕生,且百萬像素以上的數位相機有普及化的趨勢,而新近風行的網際網路 (Internet)、網內網路 (Intranet),因具有低設置成本、開放性且無遠弗屆的連結。多媒體 (multimedia) 的傳輸和豐富的資訊資源等特性,結合後端的影像資料庫,系統將可以提供更強大的功能,對傳統攝影業產生莫大的衝擊。所以,攝影業必須藉由變革來積極強化經營體質,以因應持續改變的競爭環境。基於以上的改變,許多公司以企業再造 (Business Process Reengineering, BPR) 的變革方式來增進競爭力,強化經營的體質。目前在攝影界並沒有可供依循的案例來進行攝影業的企業再造。本研究提出一套整合型的計畫,將來可以定義影像的結構,形成易於管理的影像資料庫,並且可以進一步對影像的各類屬性與內容做搜尋,甚至於將影像資料庫建立成數位影像圖書館 (Digital Image Library),或是相片博物館 (Photo Museum),對影像庫建立資料倉儲 (Data warehousing) 等,有無比的發揮空間。 |
英文摘要 | In today’s competitive environment, enterprises have faced various new challenges to survive. Since past superiority does not certainly create profits, the progress of advanced technologies makes the business competition unpredictable. For example, an intrinsic photo enterprise revolution has been stirred up after the invention of digital camera. This is not only because the pervasion of digital camera, but also because the population of Internet/Intranet with low establishing cost, open architecture, and endless connectivity. When armed with multimedia transmission techniques, an image database system now can provide a powerful and versatile information service. The traditional photo enterprise is no more dominant. In this paper, we analyze the business process reengineering (BPR) factors and propose a framework to enhance the service quality of photo enterprise. Our work can be regarded as a well-formed testbed of future picture management in photo enterprise. The system kernel is based on an image database system. Therefore, all digitized images can be retrieved via their attributes and organized into a digital image library, photo museum, and so forth. Various useful applications on photos can also be easily built, such as digital image warehouse and image data mining systems. |
