英文摘要 | This paper proposes a linear programming (L.P.) approach to solve Fuzzy Weighted Average problem (FWA), developed by Dong and Wong (1987) and subsequently improved by Liou and Wang (1992). The new approach as put forth is based on Charnes and Cooper's Linear Transform Method, which enables greater convenience in calculating the aggregated performance index for the hierarchical performance evaluation structure. It also allows the decision-maker to convert the coefficients of rating criteria and their corresponding weighting factors into L.P. model directly. Thus, the intervals for any level of α-cut on fuzzy weighted average problem can be easily located through L.P. package (e.g. LINDO package). Charnes and Cooper's transformation rule offers an efficient means to convert the fractional programming model into a linear one. Given such conversion rule, it undoubtedly can be applied to resolving the FWA issues. Furthermore, a simple yet effective evaluation structure for the teaching of higher education is also cited to illustrate the method. |
