英文摘要 | Academic freedom, one of the central issues of higher education, is inextricably connected with the university's mission as society's "stronghold" for freedom of speech, inquiry, and criticism of established truths. Such a mission can be pursued only in a climate or genuine political and academic freedom. This article aims to present an overall perspective of the various aspects, principles, and dimensions of the concept of academic freedom, as well as its limitations. Included are discussions of the historical development of academic freedom, faculty and student academic freedom, institutional autonomy, and legal issues. |
