英文摘要 | A 75-year-old woman underwent L4 and L5 laminectomy with L4-5 posterolateral fusion for degenerative spondylolisthesis L4 on L5 about 10 years ago with an uneventual course. Progressive low back pain, right sciatica and intermittent claudication developed in recent 2 months. Laminectomy of L3 was performed again after failed conservative treatment. Complication of acute visual loss of right eye was noted 4 hours after operation. Fortunately, the visual acuity got complete recovery 3 months later. Preoperative and intraoperative risk factors were analyzed. Smoking and direct pressure on the affected eye may be the contributory factors for this case. We reported this case to remind spine surgeons the rare but often devastating visual complication after spine surgery. |
