英文摘要 | Based on the Rankine-source distribution associated with Gaussian quadrature, this paper presents a rovel high order panel method to solve ship-wave problems. The ship's surface is represented by a number of parametric panels on which the source densities are solved at Gaussian points without assuming the shape functions. In addition, the order of Gaussian approximation can be arbitrarily selected, allowing the proposed method to be easily applied to a relatively complicated ship geometrical configuration. On the free-surface, a number of particular panels are generated to the extent that the collocation points lie on the streamlines. Furthermore, a four-point, upstream, finite difference algorithm is employed on the basis of Dawson's method to treat the linearized free surface condition. Also presented herein are, for validation purposes, computational results obtained from several ships such as the Wigley hull form, a Series 60 hull and a 1100 TEU container. |
