英文摘要 | Seventy-six species of land and freshwater snails were collected from Alishan, Haochar; Laiyi, Neiwen, and Manchou areas in Southern Taiwan from 1991 to 1997 as previously reported. The biodiversity data base and species similarities of these mollusk faunas were analyzed by calculating the coefficient of Jaccard among them employing the snail fauna of Lanyu as an out-group standard for comparison. Geographic, geological, topographical, and terrene factors were also considered in determining the similarity of these snail communities from adjacent areas. The results indicated that non-marine snail species among these five different areas could be assorted into three groups, i.e. Alishan Group, Haochar-Laiyi Group, and Neiwen-Manchou Group. The latitude, altitude, and topography of Neiwen area were similar to that of Manchou area. Similar situations were also found between Haochar and Laiyi areas. Compared to these four areas, the snail faunas of Alishan was distinctive, coincidence with the latitude and altitude of Alishan area. The snail fauna of Alishan Group was relatively close to Haochar-Laiyi Group than to Neiwen-Manchou Group. The result of biogeographic inquiry indicated that the high divergence of unique species found in Lanyu might result from geographic isolation. |
