英文摘要 | A nuclear track technique has been demonstrated to measure elastic scattering cross-section of heavy ion reactions in the 2 π -geometry. In this work we present a brief description of the experimental technique and the results for the reaction of 12.0 MeV/u □U projectile with □U using ZnP glass track detectors. The elastically scattered projectile and target nuclei are recorded as two-pronged events which are developed, identified as elastic events and then counted under an optical microscope. The projectile fluence was also measured from the number of etched dot-like tracks in fifteen ZnP glass detectors. The elastic scattering cross-section for the 12 MeV/u □U + □U nuclear reaction is determined. |
