英文摘要 | HPGe detector is generally used by laboratories for the monitoring of the radiation. Because the experimental calibration of full-energy peak efficiency is tedious and even difficult for extended sources, this project propose a hybrid method using the concept of effective solid angle for calculating full-energy peak efficiency of HPGe detectors. Measurements and calculations are in good agreement for uniform sources. Reasons for the deviations of nonuniform sources are discussed. A personal computer based system has been developed for full-energy peak efficiency calculations of HPGe detector. Design of user interface and database are also included in the system. |
