中文摘要 | 當光脈波通過彎折或變形等暇疵的光纖時,吾人可以利用光時域反射技術( OTDR ),定位各瑕疵點,並可分辨不同變形造成的波形信號與能量損失。此重要特性,可以用來 反映結構體中特定離散點之即時結構變位狀況,並據以發展監測與預警系統。本文所介紹的 ,即為採用上述技術,以自行研發之機械裝置,與一條貫穿橋樑所有各跨之光纖,偵測伸縮 縫即時與累積變化狀況之監測與預警系統。由試驗結果顯示,伸縮縫相對運動會透過機械裝 置牽制光纖,並在 OTDR 的偵測下,提供各具特徵的即時訊號。 本監測系統僅須透過:(1) 檢視 OTDR 的螢幕上波形變化點位置;(2) 分析各變化點的特徵,即可判斷發生變化的伸縮 縫、相對運動模式、以及嚴重程度。監測範圍,可長達數十至數百公里,除可應用於一般的 橋樑監測外,尚能使用於高架道路、捷運系統、油水輸送管線等,任何以橋墩支撐之「有限 長度剛體-有限間隔」結構系統。 |
英文摘要 | By the use of light passing through a piece of optical fiber with defects at multiple locations, optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) may be applied to locating them simultaneously and to identifying wave pattern and energy loss associated with each fiber deflection. This characteristic has been utilized to develop monitoring systems for detecting deflections at particular discrete points of a structure. A system made of simple mechanical devises, a piece of optical fiber, and an OTDR equipment is developed for bridge monitoring. This system can provide vital information such as the relative movement of the bridge girders at the expansion joints which is a new type of OTDR monitoring system for bridges. Experimental results show that the optical fibers have been dragged following the pre-determined patterns by the mechanical devices installed at each expansion joint. The location and the seriousness of the deflected joint could be determined simultaneously through analysis of the OTDR results. The range covered by the OTDR is more than 100 Kilometers. Results of this research could be applied to pier supported "finite length rigid bodies with finite spaces" structures such as bridges, highways, high-speed railways, water or oil pipe lines. |
