英文摘要 | The cubic perturbed hard-chain equation of state is extended to calculate the volumetric properties (vapor pressure, vapor volume and liquid volume) for real fluids. This equation was developed on the basis of perturbation theory in which the reference repulsion was represented by a hard-sphere and a hard-chain in combination with a square-well attraction as a perturbation. The expression for each segment of the equation approximated the results from computer simulation of molecular theories of fluids, but as a whole is explicit in pressure and third order in volume. With modification of the potential parameters to depend on temperature, the equation was found satisfactory to describe the PVT behavior of real fluids for a diversity of nonpolar, polar and hydrogen-bonded substances over entire range of experimental conditions. The calculated results from other equations of state are also reported for comparison. |
