英文摘要 | In this paper, a study of the problem of transportation and inventory management is presented. With the help of six properties discovered while analyzing on scheduling vehicles for transporting goods and managing inventories at the warehouse, we explore some basic relationships between them, such as the largest accumulated supplies, demand intervals, reorder intervals, and an ideal inventory level. By considering the largest accumulated supplies associated with different time slots and the ideal inventory level, the problem of inventory control with variant lead times which depend upon the transportation constraints becomes more tractable. We also provide the method which is easy to implement in order to determine largest accumulated supplies, demand intervals, reorder intervals, and an ideal inventory level. |
