英文摘要 | A modified rotation stabilization system has been designed to maintain the stability of a neutron time-of flight (TOF) mechanical chopper at rates from 460 rpm to 1600 rpm. The main principle of the system is based on comparing the chopper's rotation period with the preselected one froom a quartz timer. The result of comparison is used to control the current driver of the chopper's motor. A 600 Hz three phase generator controlled by a magnetic amplifier was used as a current driver. The stability of the chopper's rotation rate at 16000 rpm was 0.02%. An improved method for precise time scale calibration of the TOF spectrometer is applied. |
