中文摘要 | 隨科技資訊之發展,醫學資料庫與資訊系統發展有極大之改變,如:全球網路化 應用環境、期刊全文電子化、文獻檢索系統與全文遞送服務之結合、跨資料庫間 之資源整合、消費者健康資訊之重視等。這些改變資源之整合,影響了圖書館之 管理與服務,也改變了使用者之使用習慣,本文除介紹上述生物醫學資料庫與資 訊系統近年來之發展與影響,並選錄具代表性之資料庫,如:Medline、EMBASE、 BIOSIS、CSA Life Sciences Collection與 Current Contents Search等生物醫 學及其與相關的資料庫,介紹之並比較其收錄學科、資料型態範圍、索引典使用、 資料庫量、時效性、製作、使用上之差異,及相關之研究文獻,瞭解各資料庫之 被使用與評估情形。希透過這些介紹,以協助圖書資訊、生物醫學相關人員與使 用者,得以有效的運用資料庫資源,進而促進國內生物醫學研究、臨床、教學與 服務之進步發展。 |
英文摘要 | Due to the fast development of science and technology information in the 1ast few years, there have been significant changes in biochemical databases systems. Improvements can be found in the following areas: usage of Internet, electronic full-text journals, information systems which link to document delivery and interlibrary loan systems, emphasis on consumer health information, the change of scope and coverage of database, and the variance of search engine platforms. These changes influence library management. They also affect the accessibility of information. This paper discusses developments in the areas described above and compares some representative biomedical databases, including MEDLINE, EMBASE, BIOSIS Previews, CSA Life Sciences Collection and ISI Current Contents. The criteria of comparison are scope and coverage of document type, thesaurus, currency, size of collection, search fields, frequency of updates and the performance evaluation of search functions. We hope this help this can help more users of health science information to use these databases more accurately and efficient. This study hopes to promote research and development in the areas of clinical education and services in Taiwan. |
