中文摘要 | The Photoconduction and electrolyte electroreflectance (EER) of syntheticpyrite FeS �� single crystals with low impurity concentration prepared bychemical vapor transport method is reported. The energy gap is determinde fromthe photoconductive spectral respones by the Moss rule. At room temperature theindirect energy gap is found to be 0.83 ± 0.02 eV. A distinct feature at higherenergy side of the spectrum around 1.2 eV. is observed. In according to EER measurement, it is attributed to the direct band-gap transition. The EERspectrum exhibits derivative-like structures in the vicinity of the interbandtransitions. It is proposed that FeS �� has a completely filled 3d t �� g bandoccupied by six electrons in the low-spin configuration, separated from empty S3p σ * and 3d eg* bands, and that the bottom of the conduction and correspondsto the S 3p σ * antibonding states. |
