英文摘要 | Compared with Russia and Eastern Europe, mainland China has been able to carry out economic reforms more smoothly. This should be attributed mainly to the significant growth of the non-public sector of the economy, including individual households, private enterprises, and foreign-invested enterprises, although efforts to renovate the management mechanisms of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) should also be given some credit. This article will focus on the development of mainland China's private enterprises, which constitute an important part of the economy's non-public sector. In the post-Deng era, private enterprises are expected to have more opportunities to grow because individuals have been allowed to play more of a role in small-scale SOEs so as to alleviate unemployment pressures and maintain social stability. |
