中文摘要 | ATM網路中,虛擬路徑觀念的提出大幅簡化了交換機對細胞的處理,若配合較佳的 資源管理策略,將可使虛擬通道的建立更快速更有效率。虛擬路徑的建構方式及資源管理配 置的策略關係著系統運作的效能。本文提出一個以區域( zone )為觀念的新架構及對應的 虛擬路徑建立策略,並配合相關的頻寬控制法、重新繞徑策略、資源管理方式、故障回復策 略等問題,分析此模型的各種特性。最後利用模擬程式驗證本模型的各項效能,如頻寬利用 率、阻塞機率、重新繞徑比率、調整頻寬成本、回復率等等。 |
英文摘要 | In ATM networks, the concept of virtual path (VP) greatly simplifies the cell processing on ATM switches; and good strategies of resource management make virtual channel connection (VCC) established more quickly and efficiently. The method of constructing virtual path constitution and the strategies of managing and allocating resources greatly affect the performance of the system. This paper proposes a new architecture, called zone, and the corresponding method of constituting virtual path. Under this model, some methods and strategies, such as bandwidth control method, rerouting strategy, resource management methods, and fault recovery are studied. Simulation results show excellent performance of our model in bandwidth utilization, blocking probability, rerouting ratio, cost of adjusting bandwidth and recovery ratio. |
