中文摘要 | 本文揭示一種以國語拼音條例為依據的文句翻語音( Mandarin TTS )簡易方 法,以改進電腦化國語教學的效果。軟體中包含文句編輯與語音播放兩大模組,教師可將文 句編入,而學生可利用觸控式螢幕選擇要發音的文句。為改進目前以 411 個基本音節實施 語音合成的發音效果,本研究預先錄製 1326 個中文單字音節(包括 563 個開口呼,285 個齊齒呼,347 個合口呼,76 個撮口呼以及 55 個常用變調音)作為基音,予以編碼儲存 。當文句編輯時,文字所對應的聲母,韻母與聲調(包括陰平、陽平、上、去、入五聲)均 一併編成發音代碼,即將音韻變化融入數碼中,以獲得快 t 查詢的效果。每個音節以 16 bits,11kHz 的規格錄製。實驗後,每個字音所需的記憶體平均為 6.8Kb,處理音量變化的 時間平均為 0.7 秒,可以達到良好的自然度。此外,為了增強外國人學習國語的效果,系 統中另設計多媒體動畫及音樂播放選擇區,供使用者選用。本系統開發完成後曾由國立臺灣 師範大學國語中心的外國留學生與本國小學生測試後,發現在語音的自然度,人機介面的親 和性與學習字句的長度上均有不錯的效果。 |
英文摘要 | A simplified Mandarin TTS (text-to-speech) system has been developed to improve the effectiveness of Mandarin tutoring. It consists of a "Text Editor Module" for the teacher and a "Speech Reproduction Module" for the student. There are 1326 Mandarin phonemes encoded with linear transformation equations and saved in the allocated memory area instead of the current Chinese speech synthesis approach which is based on 411 syllables. All possible phonemes in Mandarin, including 563 front tense vowel sounds, 285 velar sounds, 347 back rounded sounds, 76 front unrounded sounds and 55 frequently-used variation sounds were selected as basic elements for speech reproduction. Furthermore, the initial and final sounds, and tone of each Chinese word are coded for fast LUT (look up table) inquiry. Each syllable of this system is saved with 16 bits, 11kHz format. The voicing of each word occupies 6.8 Kb memory capacity and its average processing time is 0.7 sec. In addition, animation, real time image and music are available for menu driven screen operation. Learners can select any unit through the touch screen monitor Experiments showed that the naturalness of Mandarin speech, the friendliness of man-machine interface, and the length of a sentence in this system were verified better than the current PDA (personal digital assistant) type Mandarin tutoring system. |
