中文摘要 | 本文欲呈現佛教對一個國小數學教師專業成長的影響,主要的研究方法是教室觀 察、訪談及文件收集。由於研究對象任教的學校正在實施國小數學新課程,在佛教思想與新 課程的交互作用下, 研究結果主要有三:1. 研究樣本的教育理念受佛教影響,由原本的「 教書」改變成現在的「教人」,其教育的目的由原來讓學生學好課程內容改變成除了讓學生 學好課程內容外,還要開啟學生的智慧、恢復學生的覺性。 2. 研究樣本受佛教思想與國小 數學新課程之契合或不衝突處之交互影響而在數學教學方法、數學教學的目的及評量的目的 等各方面作了重大的改變。 3. 佛教重視「修行靠個人」的思想減低研究樣本接受國小數學 新課程強調小組討論的數學學習方式。根根據研究結果,我們提出幾個有關師資培育的建議 。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to investigate how Buddhism influences the professional development of an elementary mathematics teacher, Mrs. Chen. The main methodology consists of classroom observation, interview and document collecting. The school in which Mrs. Chen teaches is implementing a new elementary mathematics curriculum. Under the interactions between Buddhism and the new curriculum, the results of this research contain three parts. First, Mrs. Chen's educational rationale is deeply influenced by Buddhism; it changes from "teaching students the knowledge in the textbooks" into "teaching students how to behave well." Her educational purpose changes from teaching students to learn well the contents of the curriculum into inspiring students' wisdom and reinstating students' nature of enlightenment. Secondly, under the agreement of Buddhism and the new curriculum, Mrs. Chen made great changes to the methods and purpose of mathematics teaching, and evaluation. Thirdly, Buddhism emphasizes that "revision of one's behaviors depends on individual comprehension". This is one reason why Mrs. Chen rarely adopts group discussion during her math class, although the new curriculum regards small group discussion as very important. From our research results, we make some suggestions for teacher education. |
