英文摘要 | This study investigated one of the white-rot fungi-Phanerochaete chrysosporium in the bio-pretreatment of kraft and thermomechanical pulping and its effects thereof. Soft wood Pinus taiwanensis, hardwood Eucalyptus sp, and non-wood fiber Dendrocalamus latiflorus were used in the bio-pretreatment in order to find out the suitable candidate for bio-pretreatment. Results are summarized as follows: 1.Changes of chemical composition after bio-pretreatment (1)In the first 10 d, the content of cellulose decreased significantly, while in the period between 20-40 d, the content of cellulose decreased only slightly. This phenomenon was related to the activity of Phanerochaete chrysosporium, since in the first stage of its metabolism, cellulose was degraded for food. (2)In the first 10 d the content of lignin did no change, while in period between 20-40 d, the content of lignin decreased significantly. In the final phase, between 30-40 d lignin again decreased slightly. This phenomenon was related to the activity of Phanerochaete chrysosporium, as after the first metabolism stage, it degraded the lignin for food. (3)During 10-40 d the content of hemicellulose decreased significantly. 2.Kraft pulping with bio-pretreatment (1)During the first 10 d, some physical properties of the paper decreased to some extent, In 20-30 d, all physical properties of the paper increased. In 30-40 d physical properties of the paper became stable. (2)This phenomenon, is also related to the activity of Phanerochaete chrysosporium. During the first metabolism stage, the fungus degraded cellulose for food. After the first metabolism stage, it in tern degraded lignin for food. 3.Thermomechanical pulping with bio-pretreatment (1)After bio-pretreatment, all power consumption decreased significantly. (2)After bio-pretreatment, all physical properties of paper increased to some extent, especially the bursting index. In conclusion, bio-pretreatment is useful for kraft and thermomechanical pulping, especially in the physical properties of kraft pulp and power saving of thermomechanical pulp. |
