中文摘要 | 《壇經》是唐代禪宗六祖惠能跟門徒說法的語錄,從《壇經》中惠能的自述得法因緣,谷人得以窺見禪宗衣缽真傳之一斑。惠能自言,「教是先聖所傳,不是惠能自知。」(敦煌本)可知禪法的傳承—衣缽真傳是從以前的祖帥流傳下來的。衣缽真傳乃從佛陀靈山說法—拈花微笑開始,代代相傳,默傳吩咐,即所謂禪宗秘授。本文擬從《壇經》傳法之記載,闡明禪之傳承—以心傳心。此不立文字之正法乃經典以外之密傳,教外別傳即是「佛佛唯本傳,師密付本心」之正法。文字僅是傳法之媒介,因指見月,指並非月,經典文字亦非佛性之本體。莊子曰:「得無忘筌」,其斯之謂歟? |
英文摘要 | Chan/Zen originated in India, but bloomed in China after Bodhidarma went eastward to China. It carried forwards and farther developed in Tang Dynasty. In the early Tang Dynasty, Huineng accepted the esoteric teaching from the Fifth Patriarch. Tarn-Jing is the recorded of the teaching of Huineng. From it we could understand a little of esoteric teaching. The article tries to explain the heritage of Chan.Zen Buddhism. Chan/Zen is not expressed in words. The esoteric teaching is passed on by generation to generation. If you want to realize it, you should pay homage to the Partriarch to accept the pointing from him. |
