英文摘要 | Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS), which emphasizes on importance of personal health and environmental sustainability, has been popular in gradually aging society. Bike-riding has also become a leisure activity for both young and old. Thus, there are many bikeways emerged. However, the direction or the tourist-feature designs of the bikeway symbols are poorly designed for they lack universal design thinking. That is, they are unable to make a different age or nationalities of the riders quickly determine the correct message. In order to understand the universal thinking of bikeways, this study proposed 5 criteria and 15 sub-criteria, and they were based on universal design assessment. Then the weighting of criteria and sub-criteria was achieved by using the AHP. In addition, the GRA was used to analyze the data to evaluate the universal degree of current bikeway symbols. The results showed that the universal assessment model can evaluate the universal design thinking of the bikeways effectively. Moreover, designers can obtain redesign condition clues through each symbol’s sub-criteria score. |
