中文摘要 | 臺灣東北部海域地處東海陸棚之邊緣區,其海洋環境極為特殊, 常年存有一地型 性湧昇的冷水渦以及季節性之黑潮水與陸棚沿岸水的交換混合,向來是本省重要漁場之一。 本研究從海研二號 4 個航次( 1994 年 6 月 27-29 日及 7 月 14-16 日, 以及 1995 年 4 月 12-14 日及 7 月 22-24 日)聲波遙測資料中, 擷取隱含生物量大小指標之 Sv 值( 散亂反射強度), 配合現場之 CTD 觀測資料,及 NOAA 衛星所測得的高解析紅外線影像( AVHRR ),分析臺灣東北部海域生物量之分布特性。由衛星遙測之表水溫影像及現場所測得 的 CTD 資料可知,夏季時本海域在冷水渦週邊之表水溫溫度梯度差異不大, 此時生物量分 布較高的水域有二處,一是在冷水渦外圍之低溫高鹽水附近,另一處則是在臺灣東北部沿岸 之高溫低鹽水附近,而冷水渦處生物量分布則頗低;春季時本海域因受黑潮水及大陸沿岸水 入侵之影響,而有明顯的黑潮反流現象,此時生物量分布較高的水域是在黑潮支流(臺灣暖 流)與大陸沿岸水混合之低溫低鹽水附近,而在黑潮鋒面(高溫高鹽)及冷水渦處生物量分 布則非常低。 兩者本研究顯示,以地理資訊系統( GIS )來展示及分析聲光遙測資訊,是 極為便捷且可行的方法。 |
英文摘要 | Oceanographic conditions and biomass distribution characteristics in the waters of northeastern Taiwan, where the Kuroshio Current meets the East China Sea, were investigated using hydroacoustic survey data, CTD (Conductivity, Temperature and Depth) data and NOAA's AVHRR infrared images. In this region, a cold eddy with low temperature and high salinity was found near the island of Peng-Chia Yu. In the summers of 1994 and 1995, the sea surface temperature isotherms (gradients) were unconducted. The biomass was low and decreased with depth in the center of the eddy. Higher biomass concentration were found in two nearby areas: the waters near the periphery of the cold eddy and the coastal waters of northern Taiwan. The former had low temperature and high salinity, while the latter had high temperature and low salinity. In mid-April, 1995, the sea surface temperature isotherms (gradients) were very complex. A high biomass area was found in the waters where the warm Taiwan current mixes with continental coastal water of low temperature and low salinity, while low biomass areas were found in the center of the cold eddy (low temperature and high salinity), and the front of the Kuroshio Current (high temperature and high salinity). Since acoustic survey data (Sv) and satellite image data (SST) have an important spatial component, a Geographic Information System (GIS) was used to display and analyze some of these data. |
