中文摘要 | 儘管乙太網路之使用已經相當的普及,但是限於其「運送感知多數擷取與碰撞偵測」的特性,使用在即時系統方面卻很少,致使硬體資源未能充份運用。 本文探討即時系統之特性,分析即時需求運用在乙太網路上之幾種可行做法,而且,我們亦完成一個以符記為方式的封包驅動器以應用在乙太網路中,稱為乙太符記網路,在我們的實現中,不只可以有選擇性的選用是否使用即時特性及其符記保有時間之長度,而且與網際網路上之所有軟體相容,又保有了簡單,有彈性,及失誤容忍的特性。 |
英文摘要 | Computers have been used for real-time applications for a long time. People seldom thrink of using Ethernet to implement real-time systems, although it is prevalent. One reason is that Ethernet does not have real-time Proterty, which is a Characterishics of the Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection access method. This article discusses the definition of real-time systems, and applies the real-time requirements to the Ethernet network, which promote the Ethernet with real-time feature. We analyse the requirements and feasible approaches of Ethernet packet drivers. In our implementation, called Ether Token, is compatible with current Internet applications. It also has the features of simplicity, flexibility and fault-tolerance. |
