中文摘要 | 今日的同軸朧纜已非單純地提供視訊服務而已,應用其高達1GHz的頻寬,可作雙 向傳送,不論是類比或數位信號;在頭端或交換機主控端結合視訊與語音訊號,經由混合式 光纖╱同軸(Hybrid Fiber/Coax, HFC)傳輸網路,將信號送至鄰近用戶家的終端介面,提供 用戶服務。其傳送方式因使用不同的技術各有其缺點,本篇擬介紹電話服務在HFC網路架構 上的傳送技術,諸如系統容量、使用頻寬、上下行傳送技糐、分配網路、供電、可靠度、BER、 Round Trip Delay等。 |
英文摘要 | Today's coaxial cables are not only providing entertainment video signals, but also transmitting 2-way digital signals by taking advantages of its almostl 1GHz bandwidth. The signals from Headend and Central Office are combined to form a TDM stream. And the downstream signal is transported by way of Hybrid Fiber/Coax (HFC) network to the customers. Several methods exist for combining and transporting telephony and video signals such as: QPSK, 16 QAM, BPSK, …etc. Each has its advantages and drawbacks. This paper discusses the characteristic considerations of telephony transmission over coax cable such as system bandwidth, up/down-stream schemes, digital modulation techniques, distribution plant, network powering and reliability. |
