英文摘要 | The role of structural control research programs in improving the safety and reliability of civil structure during earthqukes and strong winds is outlined. A summary of some recent collaborative research efforts by the authors in these areas is presented. Specifically, these efforts are directed towards the development of passive and active control devices and control algorithms for civil structures. Among these are an instantaneous optimal control algorithm for building frames using incomplete measured data, with applications in active base isolation/active tendon control, dynamic controller designs, and simple active tuned mass damper (ATMD) designs for structures subjected to seismic or wind excitation. A method to synthesize feasible structural controllers that use limited resources and are capable of meeting multiple objectives related to the structural response is also outlined, and its application in ATMD design is described. Some numerical simulations are presented for the above-mentioned research, illustrating the control performance and effectiveness of the proposed devices/control algorithms. |
