英文摘要 | The inter-disciplinary study which involves music and other fields has been the new trend for the past two decades. Because of the well-rounded spirit of the humanities study and the dissatisfaction toward the traditional ways of musical study, musicologists have been striving to observe and analyse musical from different perspectives since the second half of the twentieth century. Because it is hard to discern the ideas and inspiration behind a piece of music and also the fact that it requires the listeners to physically participate in order to listen and understand music, traditional musicology can not offer a multi-facet way of thinking about music. They are the reasons for the birth of this inter-disciplinary musical study. It’s goal is ti use the learnings from the other fields to find more possibilities in understanding music. The thesis takes on the painter, Paul Klee(1879-1940), as the focus of the study. He chosed to be a painter over a musician to pursuit his artistic life after much hesitation. He is said to be a painter with a solid foundation in music. Because of this, he drew much of his inspiration from music. Music appears in many different forms through the well over nine thousands works he created. That is why his paintings are very well liked by contemporary composers. |
