中文摘要 | 處在由工業社會到資訊社會的轉捩點,電腦和電子通訊技術的高度發展,教育制度 也受到極大的衝擊。進入新的資訊時代,傳統的教學方法和教學工具不一定再能滿足實際的 要求,未來也許將是以電訊網路為基礎的教學方式。虛擬實境在教育上的運用正是一個新的 里程碑,大量的電腦和電訊科技的結合,使擬真教學得以提供使用者親歷其境的經驗學習, 讓他們可以依自己的需要而創造不同的虛擬環境,解決許多或許因為現實環境而無法克服的 難題,如複製歷史情境或進行昂貴或高危險性的實驗。 在這麼巨大的轉變中,師生關係,乃至老師的角色也和傳統大不同。老師們不再以傳道、授 業、解惑為主,反而必須進一步的參與課程的規劃設計,輔導學生發展其興趣和潛能;提供 課程選擇的諮詢服務;訓練學生操控擬真科技;給予支援...等。身為老師,勢必要具備 更多元化的知識和能力。 本文主要從文獻探討的觀點,檢討現行教育制度的不符需要,並介紹擬真教學的可能發展和 在國小社會科課程的應用,並進一步評人古擬真教學實行上的優缺點,呈現教師角色的改變 ,以儘早從師資養成教育中培養資訊時代所需要的老師。 |
英文摘要 | In the midst of a dramatic transformation from an industrial society to an information society, the advanced developments in both computers and telecommunication have brought about a tremendous impact on every part of the society. Education is definitely no exception. Traditional methods of education, therefore, no longer satisfy the actual and practical needs of learning in this modern era of multi-dimensional information system. What we need is an educational paradigm based on telecommunication network. Virtual reality as applied in the educational system can be viewed as a break-through landmark. With the help of computers and telecommunication technology, virtual class provides the users, or learners, with a wraparound learning environment in which different virtual surroundings can be created by the users to obtain the knowledge they desire at their own pace. Moreover, virtual class is a valuable alternative to overcome the difficulty in solving many otherwise insoluable problems; for example, the unlikely and complicated reproduction of a historical incident, or the dangerous and expensive procedure of a scientific experiment. As a result of this tremendous transformation, not only the interrelationship between teachers and students but also the role of teachers has to undergo a drastic change, A teacher is no longer the "Lecturer" in the classroom; instead, a teacher has to walk behind the scene, or rather the screen, and becomes a coach of operating skills, a designer of curriculum developments, and counselor of course selections. Undoubtedly, it is necessary for a teacher to be equipped with the knowledge and ability of a multidimensional scope in order to fit into the future trend. |
