英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to investigate gifted education teachers' teaching processes and perceptions while teaching gifted students. Questionnaire based on VanTassel-Baska's gifted curriculum design model and Shulman's process of pedagogical reasoning and action were used to collect data from 116 elementary gifted education teachers in Taipei. Results of the survey showed seven factors of the teaching processes and perceptions. There were multidimentional thinking, teaching transformation, curriculum management, professional practice, teaching expertise, perusing excellence and self identity. Gender, qualification and experience of teaching the talented did not make any differences on the seven factors, while education level of the teacher and gifted education training did have significant differences on some dimensions. The gifted education teachers' teaching action model is suggested by researches. The model based on the seven factors of the teaching processes and perceptions contains curriculum design and idea transformation, teaching process, teaching result, personal and professional development, four stages and becomes a cyclical process. The implications of results of this survey are discussed and several suggestions are accordingly provided for education programs of gifted education teachers. |
