That is, he quoted sentences of "peaceable thoughts" from the Book of Odes. This special way aIso inftuenced the study from the Book of Odes in the Han Dynasty. This paper first explores the derivation and changes in the quotations from the Book of Odes, and it concIudes with all the verses quoted from the Book of Odes by Mencius, as the manner, the speciality and the purpose.
