中文摘要 | 種豬場應用人工授精和冷凍精液於品種改良外,尚需評估其效益供種豬管理之參 考。本研究分析民國73年7月至79年6月止六年間國家峐心種豬場南場之藍瑞斯、約克夏 和杜洛克母豬計4635次配種資料。依自然配種、稀釋精液和冷凍精液人工授精等三種配種方 式對母豬21天天受胎率、分娩率、出生時總仔豬頭數、出生時活仔豬頭數、和其存活率進行 比較。結果顯示,採用人工精液或冷凍精液人工授精並未造成任一品種之配種後21天授胎率 低於70%之情況。授胎後品種間胚胎存活狀況並不一致,藍瑞斯母豬之分娩率,產仔數和仔 豬存活率均未明顯地受到人工授精技術應用之影響;反之,以稀釋精液授精的約克夏和杜洛 克母豬之分娩率較自然配種低8至10%,但產仔數和仔豬存活率並未受到影響,而授予冷凍 精液的杜洛克母豬之分娩率則減少有22%之多,且每胎產仔豬頭數亦短少了2.5頭之多。本 研究結果顯示豬人工授精之應用性可因豬隻品種而有別,但使用稀釋精液並未對母豬受胎率 和仔豬存活率有顯著的不良後果。 |
英文摘要 | Application of artificial insemination (AI) to swine breeding is essential to the production efficiency of breeding herds. A total of 4635 mating records obtained between July 1984 and JUNE 1990 from the National Swine Neuclear Herd (NSNH) at Hsinhua in the southern part of Taiwan was analyzed to determine the efficiency of AI. Comparisons on conception rate after 21 days mating, farrowing rate, litter size at birth, number of piglets born alive and perinatal survival of piglets between nature service (NS) and AI were made in Landrace, Yorkshire and Duroc sows. Conception rates of all three breeds were above 70% whether mated by NS or AI. In Landrace breed, there were no significant difference in farrowing rate, litter sizes and perinatal survivibility among sows mated by NS and AI with extended semen as well as AI with frozen semen. However, it was not the case in Yorkshire and Duroc breeds. There were 8% and 10% less in farrowing rates for sows inseminated with extended semen than those of sows mated naturally in Yorkshire and Landrace, respectively. Furthermore, Duroc sows inseminated with frozed semen had 23% less of farrowing rate and 2.5 piglets fewer at birth per litter than those of nature service sows. Results indicated that the efficiency of AI application in swine production varied by breed of sows. However, evidence within the limited of this study showed that sows inseminated with extended semen seemed harmless to litter sizes and piglet survivibility. |
