英文摘要 | The author has successfully designed a machinereadable mapping metric system for filtering, condensing, andconverting a very large scale scholarly communication networkinto a series of electronic maps. Eight components forconstructing such an electronic map are identified as: scale, loci, bondage, direction, frequency, relative distance, boundary, and threshold. This electronic mapping system can becoordinated for building parallel subject knowledge navigationsystems to assist database searching in network environments. An advanced endeavor is devoted to the development of ananimation-supported navigation system to assist informationmanagers in conducting orientation, advanced researchguidance, and intelligence synthesis and transfer. Cognitivecomputing and programming methods illustrate concisemanipulation techniques utilizing window-based animationsystems. A sample animation program entitled "InformationRobin Hood" is portrayed. Involved in the discussions are texthandling, frame scaling, patterns and loci organization, toolmanipulation, screen coordination, etc. Mathematical formulasin frame making are presented. The comparisons between: 1)the machine readable mapping formats and the window-basedanimation patterns; 2) bytes consumption and removal ofredundant elements in frames; and, 3) frame size control inmachine readable mapping and window-based animationsystems are conducted. The benefits, concerns, andadvancement of this approach are deliberated. |
