中文摘要 | 隨著視訊技術的進步,視訊通訊逐漸由點對點的溝通進步到多點對多點的應用;由普通的畫面影像延伸到高畫質之應用;由靜態影像傳輸演變到彩色動態影響傳輸,並由單向傳遞進步到雙向溝通,這些均靠視訊壓縮、高速交換及網路品質的提升而達成。所以,未來視訊通訊將和語音通訊一樣成為電信服務之主流。 為因應世界潮流需要,不同廠牌之通訊系統及終端設備均必須遵循共同之標準,才能使產品大眾化,以提供新穎、廉價與多樣化之電信服務。本文將針對視訊電話/視訊會議系統的核心技術--一視訊處理作深入之探討。視訊處理包括加強視訊品質並兼顧經濟效益。文中除了介紹視訊編碼原理及完整之系統架構外,並對一些選擇項目作進一步的研究。 本研究的完成,除了建立視訊電話/視訊會議H.261國際標準軟體系統外,更可作為進一步研究視訊技術及高畫質電視之重要工具。此外,此國際標準軟體系統可做為國內工業界加速發展相關產品之技術依據。產業界可經由國際標準來達到彼此系統之交互運作,而利用選擇項發展自己獨特之方法來增加附加價值,提高產品在國際市場之競爭能力。同時藉由此系統之建立,可供相關通訊設備做為規格之制定、審查及測試之用。 |
英文摘要 | Owing to the progress of video technology, video communication is gradually changed from point-to-point to multipoint-to-multipoint, from normal image quality to high-definition image quality, from still image transmission to moving image transmission, and from one-way transmission to two-way transmission. These changes are made possible by the improvements in video compression, fast switching and network quality. In the future, video communication and voice communication will become the mainstream of teleservices. To follow the worldwide trend, the communication systems and the terminal equipments of different brands should follow the same standard to popularize the products such that the new, low-price, versatile services can be provided. In this paper, video process, the core techniques of video phone and video conference, will be discussed in detail. The video process includes two parts: video quality enhancement and video compression. The purpose of video processing is to maintain the video quality and to satisfy the economical profits during the transmission and the storage of video signals. Besides an introduction of the video coding principles and the whole system architecture, the context gives further discussions of some optional items. This research establishes the software system of the international standard H.261 for video phone and video conference. Besides, the results of this research can be used as an important tool for the further study of video techniques and HDTV. The industry can use this software system to accelerate the development of the related products. The manufacturers can use this system to improve the compatibility of their own systems and to develop their own methods in the optional items to increase the added-on values of their products to improve the competence in the worldwide market. Moreover the specifications of the related communication equipments can be made, supervised and tested by this software system. |
