英文摘要 | Opaque minerals are minor but ubiquitous in Taiwan granitoids. The analyzed opaque minerals are sulfides of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pyrite and hydroxides of goethite. The sulfide minerals usually contain small amounts of Ni-less than 1.0, 0.9 and 0.1 wt% for pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite, respectively. The (Fe+Ni)/S ratios for pyrrhotite vary mainly from 0.82 to 0.93 and Ni/Fe ratios vary from 0.001 to 0.016. The presence of such nickel-bearing pyrrhotites in Taiwan granitoids implies that the Stype granitoids of Taiwan were not generated entirely from partial melting of sedimentary rocks but by interaction of I-type magma with sedimentary rocks or mixing between I-type magma and an ideal S-type magma produced by the partial melting of sedimentary rocks. Such petrogenesis may partially explain the coexistence of predominant ilmenite and complementary magnetite in the S-type granitoid and the volcanic arc tectonic setting using the discrimination diagram of Pearce et al. (1984) for the S-type granitoids of Taiwan. |
