中文摘要 | 本研究係在探討飼養外米綴蛾 (Corcyra cephalonica) 途中補充接種之效益,共 進行兩次試驗, 第一次在直徑約 2O cm X 高 lO cm 之玻璃皿內放入一公斤糙米後, 接種 100 mg (0.l5 ml) 外米綴蛾卵,成蟲開始羽化起每日上午九時前, 記錄每皿羽化之雌雄蛾 數並予移入固定之產卵筒中任其產卵,然後採卵稱重,飼養第 58 至第 90 日間,以補充卵 、幼蟲或留置成蟲產卵方式進行補充接種,每一處理三重複。第二次試驗則在同樣大小之玻 璃皿與一公斤糙米上,接種 133 mg (0.20 ml) 種卵飼養,再於飼養第 48 至第 87 日間, 以補充卵或留置成蟲方式補充接種,並設置未補充之對照以資比較,亦各設置三重複。所獲 結果顯示,補充接種雖能飼獲一些第二代成蟲,但其發育期大為延長,所獲蛾數與雌蛾數均 偏低,而每隻雌蛾之產卵量又大不如第一代者。因此補充接種之效果不大,尤其在較高密度 下飼養時其效益更低。 |
英文摘要 | Two experiments were conducted to study the effect of supplemental inoculation on the rearing and egg production of the rice moth, Corcyra cepha]onica. In the first experiment, 100 mg (= 0.15 mi) of eggs were first seeded on 1 kilogram of brown rice in each of 9 petri dishes of 20 cm (dia.) X 10 cm (height). The adults which emerged in each dish were transferred to a special cage for mating and oviposition before 9 a.m. everyday. On day 58, 68, 79, and 90, 25 mg of Corcyra eggs were supplementally inoculated in each of the 3 dishes. In each of another 3 dishes, 7.5 grams of wheat powder, including larvae hatched from 25 mg of eggs placed there a week before, were evenly distributed on the rice diet on the aforementioned four days. Everyday from day 58 to day 90, three pairs of adults were not removed but kept in each of the 3 remaining dishes for oviposition. In the second experiment, the initial inoculation rate was increased to 133 mg per dish. Then (:) 33 mg eggs were supplemented in each of the 3 dishes on day 48, 58, 68, and 78, (2) two pairs of adults were retained in each of the other 3 dishes from day 48 to day 87, and (3) no supplemental inoculation was made in the remaining 3 dishes used as the control. Although some adults were obtained as the result of supplemental inoculation, the moth number was not comparable to that of the first generation. Not only did each individual take a longer time to complete development, also more male than female adults emerged in the second generation. Tn addition, each female adult produced far fewer eggs compared with those of the first generation. It is concluded that the supplemental inoculation is inefficient from the standpoint of time and space as well as the labor needed to collect the eggs from these second-generation adults. |
