中文摘要 | 由於圖像設計可以從很抽象到很具象,當一個設計師在設計一個人機介面圖像時,如何選擇適當的設計型式,就成為一個很重要的問題。設計人機介面圖像必須考慮意義明確、易記好學,及其一致性;要達到上述的目的,設計師與使用者須有一套共同的視覺語彙。然而目前並沒有適當的視覺語言可以作為使用者與設計者的溝通工具。因此,本文主要的目的在於建立一視覺特徵以利設計師能夠據以選擇適當的設計型式。本文首先探討圖像的印象功能、設計型式、簡化過程,及視覺特徵,再利用三十個人機介面圖像作配對測試,得到其正確的視認率。最後,利用本文提出的視覺特徵解釋圖像的視認與混淆的原因。本文研究的結果,提供設計師如何選擇正確的視覺特徵來設計人機介面圖像。 |
英文摘要 | An important issue faced by designer when designing an icon is how to select an appropriate image for the icon, because icons vary from extremely abstract to representational symbols is an iconic interface. For icons to be effective in a user interface, icons needs to be properly designed to be meaningful, learnable, memorable and consistent throughout the usage. To achieve these characteristics, both icon designers and users must share a common visual vocabulary. However, there is no common visual vocabulary shared by designers and users. The present study intends to help designers to choose a proper image style for the icon at an early design stage. First, a classification of icons is summarized, the levels of stylization are discussed, and three distinguish visual futures of an object are identified for the icon design. Then, thirty icons from several drawing packages and generally used symbols are selected, and a matching test is conducted to obtain the correct matching rates. The results are presented with some explanations for the icon recognition and confusion, and finally how to select the right image function for the icon design is discussed. |
