英文摘要 | The governing equation in tensor form for fluid deformation interface has been derived. Mathematical analysis shows clearly that no net force can be produced from surface tension on a smooth enclosed interface between two fluids. Thus this article refutes the proposition that a net force or global motion can be produced on a smooth enclosed interface by a nonuniform surface tension. The results are related to part of the Marangoni effects, surface tension driven flow, and surface tension measurement involving the surface tension measurement involving the surface tension gradient. |
