英文摘要 | Some qualitative aspects of the dynamic stability of a Kelvin-Voint viscoelastic column subjected to a periodic axial load are presented. The gravity effection is taken into consideration. By using the Galerkin's method, the governing equation of motion is reduced to the damped Mathieu equation. The Bolotin's method is applied to obtain the boundaries of the instability region of the first and the second approximation. The stable and unstable phenomena also shown by the phase plane trajectories. The effects of gravity and various loading parameters on the region of instability are present. |
