英文摘要 | The administrative geography of the Ta-chih’s Pohai Kingdom is a topic which many scholars have probed but about which many questions remain. This article attempts to further develop the field and puts forth new major opinions as follows: 1. About the name of the kingdom: The Pohai Kingdom was formerly called Cheng, which came from Chengchou, one of the prefectures (fu) of the T’ang Empire, and the “Pohai” itself came from the ancient name of the Japanese Sea. 2. About the territory of the regime: When Liaotung was occupied during the period of King Ta Yicheng, it was divided into two prefectures: Liaoyang and Chenhai. 3. About the administrative divisions: There were two kinds of chou, one was called fu, while the other was called tsun. This means that fu was not a full administrative unit. 4. About the location of some of the administrative units: Tingli fu, Tieli fu, and Tungping fu were in Yilan County, Tieli City in Heilungkiang Province, and Lesozawotsk City in the Soviet Union, respectively. |
