英文摘要 | This paper discusses a new method to modify the rubber backbon,e and side chain. The process involves the use of borane which offers a convenient and effective way. The commercial products of rubbers can be modified which incIudes functionalization and grafted copolymerization. The chemistry involves a borane-containing copolymer and graft from a free radical polymerization. The borane containing copolymer can be directly synthesized from two monomers or from the hydroboration of commercial products of rubbers. And then the borane can beconverted to different functional groups. The borane containing copolymer can also be exposed to oxygen in the presence of free radical polymerizable monomers which include MMA, HEMA and styrene. The copolymers containing polycaprolactone can also be prepared from a hydroxyl-terminated initiator. The resulting grafted copolymers are an effective compatibilizer for a polymer blend. |
