英文摘要 | The horse mackerel is a major landing of purse seine fisheries in Taiwan. The commercial fish echosounder used for both fish finding and fish harvesting plays and important role on purse seine fisheries. Results from analysis on the property of horse mackerel TS functions may thus be applied to estimate the horse mackerels resource. In this study, the TS functions of horse mackerels were treated by statistics. We found that the target strength to length regression lines were linear (F-test), and there was no obvious differences among the slopes and elevations from different species. Furthermore, all the parameters from different regression lines are consistent with each other, as indicated by results from the Overall test. After the five TS functions of horse mackerels were combined, the relationship can be describe as TS=38.91 logL-91.21 (r2=0.903, n=203). |
