英文摘要 | An adherent film of copolymer on metal electrode can be formed through electro-initiatedcopolymerization of monomers in cell. In the present work acrylonitrile and acrylic acid are used asmonomers, water as solvent, and zinc iron as metal electrode. Electrolysis was carried out in athree-compartment cell with fritted disk separators, using zinc iron as cathode which was put in themiddle compartment. Under a constant current or constant voltage, the electrolysis conditionvaried with differences in monomor concentration, acidity, time, and temperature. It was found that a higher current didn't increase the copolymer yield; a better yield was possible if the mole ratio of monomers was 1:1. The acidity of the system directly affects the concentration of hydrogen ion, and, therefore, the production of hydrogen gas bubble may become a competition reaction with electrocopolymerization. Both at higher and at lower temperatures, the yieldof copolymer was diminished. |
