中文摘要 | 藤材被廣泛地用為製造家具及編織工藝品等用材,這是因為藤製品具有蘊涵特殊的東方風格及予人高雅清爽的感受外,藤材具有優良的抗張強度、彈性及容易彎曲的加工特性。本試驗之目的係以掃描電子顯微鏡,X光能量散射分析儀及紅外線光譜儀分析藤材之微細組織構造及化學組成分,以便了解藤之加工特性,冀能提升藤材之加工利用技術。試驗結果得知.材兵與木材迴異的組織構造,即藤材具有單子葉植物所獨特的彈簧狀螺旋紋導管及橫向掛列的基本薄壁組織,又藤莖之化學組成分與一般木材比較,含有豐富的纖維素及半纖維素,而木質素之含量較少,因此導致藤材具有優良的彈性回復及容易彎曲之加工特性。藤皮經由X光能量分析儀及缸外線光譜儀分析得知其主要組成分為矽氧類化合物,故其耐磨性佳。 |
英文摘要 | Its excellent pliable and elastic properties give rattan its value in making furniture and various braided articles. In order to understand the characteristics of rattan, its microscopic and chemical properties were studied by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDXA) and an infrared spectophotometer (IR). Observation using a SEM shows that vascular bundles are imbedded in transverse ground parenchyma cells. The vascular bundles consist of a large reticulated vessel in the middle and several distinct, spring-type spiral vessels toward the interior; on the two sides are two• large sieve tubes and on the outside is a horseshoe-shaped protecting sheath composed of bast fibers. The information obtained from EDXA and IR analysis demonstrates that silica compound is the principal component in the epidermis of rattan. The results obtained from IR analysis .indicate that, compared to hardwood or softwood, rattan contains exceptionally. small amounts of lignin and correspondingly has large amount of polysaccharides, especially hemicelluloses. Knowledge of these characteristics is of great assistance in reaching a better standing of the distinct physical and processing properties of rattan such as elastic recovery, pliability, abrasion resistance, etc. |
