中文摘要 | 本研究以一九六0至一九七0年代間於歐美國家所興起的反學校教育思潮為焦點,探討這股承繼於盧梭的教育理想,反對現存傳統學校體制的改革運動中,學者們對於學校教育制度的徹底反省後,所提出許多替代性的理想教育方案。 這些方案可因其發展的階段,列舉三種主要的類型加以說明其對學校教育制度的改革主張。第一種類型是尼爾的夏山學校,可作為實施理想教育的成功典範。第二種類型是古德曼的迷你學校,將學校縮小並普遍設於社會任何一角,已突破原有學校教育限於圍牆內的格局。第三種類型逐漸趨向更激進的改革計畫,是伊利希欲廢止學校制度,代之以學習網路為主的非學校教育,乃為反學校教育思潮發展的最高峰。不管這些學者的理想教育替代方案在激進程度上有何不同,其共同的精神皆在於反對現有僵化、反人性的學校教育制度,而根據民主、開放、自由、公平的理想,建立一個真正開展人性、使人能充分發揮潛能的教育制度。 這股反學校教育思潮在西方教育發展上雖僅僅持續十多年,最後也淹沒於另一現實衝擊之中。然其重視自由化、民主化、多元化的課題與精神,期建立一個更開放、更自由、更符合人性的教育制度藍圖,實可為我國正熱烈進行的中小學學校教育改革運動之參考。 |
英文摘要 | This study focuses on the anti-schooling doctrine which developed in the West between 1960s-70s. The anti-schooling doctrine carried on Rousseau's ideal and concerned about what education should be like and how education ought to be conducted. The aim of this study is to examine three main ideas which the doctrine brought up for replacing existent schooling system. Apart from Alexander Neill's summerhill school, Paul Goodman advocated Mini-school scheme and Ivan Illich planned to establish the Deschooling society in which learning webs replaced schooling education. These ideas were probably new and radical, whether they were feasible was another matter. The doctrine survived just about ten years and had many drawbacks but it was pointed out that some free, open and humane schooling system were also the main goal of Taiwan's education reform and hence an examination of the anti-schooling doctrine would shed certain new lights for Taiwan's educationalists. It is hoped that inspirations could be drawn out of this study in view of schooling reform currently enacted in Taiwan. |
