英文摘要 | Changes in office operations involving the introduction of computers requires the retraining of personnel who may or may not "wish" to be retrained. Elements of fear of technology and fear of looking foolish often enter into the picture. Similar considerations apply to the training of the "general public," with one difference. These users are often coming of their own volition. An introductory course has been developed at the University of Pittsburgh in order to alleviate such fears introduce the concepts of computer science as "simple," yet provide a sound theoretical understanding of computing and practical hands-on experience. The entire training period takes twelve hours. |
