英文摘要 | An approach to modeling of the emulsion polymerization of styrene in continuous flow operation is proposed and analysed in detail using the experimental conditions and numerical values of Nomura et al. The results obtained in this model are compared with those obtained in Nomura's model based on the generating polymer particles. The assumption of a zero-order reaction has been found normally to be valid for the continuous flow operation. It is also found that the MWD of a continuous emulsion polymerization has an unique feature but shifts to the shorter chain length range as the mean residence time increases. Moreover, the conversion always never exceeds in a greater value in spite of a long residence time. |
