英文摘要 | The reliability and va1idity of a test depend on the properties of the individual items which make up the test. Items can be analyzed qualitatively, in terms of their content and form, and quantitatively in terms of their difficulty and discrimination. Item analysis is a useful tool for test improvement. A test composed of items revised and selected on the basis of item analysis data will function more effectively. Many different processes of item analysis and many different indices of item quality have been developed: Percentage passing an item and delta (△), an interval scale devised by Educational Testing Service, are used as indices of item difficulty. The item -test biserial coefficient of correlation and the D-value, which is the difference between upper and lower 27 percent groups in the proportion of correct responses, are used as -indices of item disctimination. In this article, the relationship between item difficulty and item discrimination is presented and a simplified item-analysis procedure is illustrated. |
