英文摘要 | GPC was used to determine the molecular weight distribution of the products from the polymerization of butadiene in toluene solution in a batch reactor using Ziegler-Natta type catalysts. The inadequacy of the existing calibration methods of GPC applying to polybutadiene has led to the development of a new technique of calibration using only broad polymer fractions. In the study of molecular weight distribution it was found that the TiI₄ concentration is the dominating factor to the molecular weight of the product, while the Al/Ti ratio tends to affect the shape of distribution curve. At high Al/Ti ratio the distribution curves show considerable tailing at low molecular weight end and eventually become bimodal. |
