英文摘要 | Introduction: The use of evidence-based medicine (EBM) is essential to improve healthcare outcomes and increase patient satisfaction. However, the implementation of EBM can be challenging due to various factors that affect healthcare professionals' attitudes towards using EBM databases. This study aimed to validate measures and investigate factors influencing healthcare professionals' attitudes towards using EBM databases in clinical contexts. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted with healthcare professionals from a university-affiliated teaching hospital, employing purposeful sampling. A sample of 220 healthcare professionals comprised of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists were surveyed. Statistical analyses with structural equation modeling (SEM) approach were employed to verify the measurement validity and examine the path correlations among variables. Results: The results of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) showed satisfying validity and reliability of measurement. In addition, the findings of structural path analysis revealed the significant role of social factors in healthcare institutions (path coefficient = 0.19, P < 0.05) and emphasized the importance of promoting the usefulness of EBM databases in clinical contexts (path coefficient = 0.35, P < 0.001). Conclusions: In conclusion, healthcare institutions should make efforts to promote the optimal adoption of EBM databases by considering social factors and the perception of usefulness. The findings emphasize the significance of encouraging healthcare professionals to utilize EBM databases, facilitating access to relevant resources, and offering necessary support to enhance EBM implementation in clinical settings. By taking these factors into account, healthcare institutions can enhance the utilization of EBM databases, leading to improved healthcare outcomes. |
