英文摘要 | In this study, the influence of aperture spacing and nozzle surface characteristics on the spray flow rate and spray droplet size of the vibrating mesh atomization are experimentally studied. The influence of liquid film on atomization performance are also investigated. A handmade device of aerosol generation with a vibrating mesh and a fluid reservoir is used. The nozzle plate is manufactured by LIGA technology and made of Ni-Co alloy. The atomization droplet size is measured by insitec RT-sizer, and image is captured by a highspeed camera at the same time. Results found the hydrophilic coating on the nozzle surface will cause a liquid film effect and will change the atomization mechanism from the single droplet eruption to the ultrasonic atomization mode, and decrease the atomization performance as well. The aperture spacing and the surface characteristics of the nozzle plate are important parameters to avoiding liquid film formation, and improve atomization performance. |
